Where do the photos happen?
Baku has a small set of places that appear in almost every wedding album.
- The seaside boulevard. Wide, flat and open, good in the late afternoon.
- Highland Park. The city and the bay behind you.
- Icherisheher walls. Old stone, and cars can wait just outside.
- Flame Towers. Best after dark, when they are lit.
Plan the driving order around traffic. Moving between these takes longer on a Saturday evening.
Do you need a limousine?
Not necessarily, and fewer Baku couples take one now.
A large modern sedan photographs better than a stretch limousine. A sedan also fits the streets around the Old City.
A limousine still works for the classic arrival shot. Decide from the photos you actually want.
What about guests arriving from abroad?
Many Baku weddings bring family in from Turkey, Russia or the Gulf.
