Short answer. The car rental rules in Baku are short. You must be 19 and have held a licence for a year. Bring a passport and a deposit of 200 to 300 USD. The shortest rental is 2 days. There is no mileage limit.

Who can rent a car in Baku?
The car rental rules in Baku start with age and licence.

You can book and pay for someone else. The driver signs the contract.

A second driver goes on the contract at the desk.

Money, deposit and payment

A card hold is not a payment. The money stays in your account.

On luxury cars we may ask for an amount to hold the date.
Child seat, navigator and Wi-Fi are the extras people ask for.

Insurance and damage
Compulsory ICBARI insurance is on every car and is in the price.
Full cover is optional and has an excess of 300 to 500 EUR.
The excess depends on the car and is agreed when you sign.
Insurance is the part of the car rental rules people skip. Do not.
We check the car with you at pickup and again at return.
Damage found at return is charged from the deposit.
After an accident, call the police first, then call us.

Booking and cancelling
Send your dates on WhatsApp and we hold the car. No fee.
Moving the date or the time of a booking costs nothing.
Cancelling a luxury car is free until one day before.
On economy cars we ask for a day of warning too.
Booking is the easiest part of car rental in Baku.
Returning the car late is charged at the daily rate.
Delivery to your hotel is 10 USD, to the airport 15 USD.
The office answers at any hour, including at night.
Driving and fines
The alcohol limit is zero and it is enforced strictly.
Speed limits are 60 in town, 90 on rural roads, 110 on motorways.
Almost every fine comes from a camera, not from a patrol.
Fines sit outside the car rental price and outside our control.
A fine can reach us weeks after you fly home.
We pass it on with the case number so you can check it yourself.
The record is public at the State Traffic Police.
Fuel, washing, fines and parking are never included in the rate.
