Short answer. Booking a car in Baku in advance matters for some dates and not for others. An economy saloon in November can be arranged the same day. A luxury car during the Grand Prix week needs two months. The car class decides it.

When is booking a car in Baku in advance necessary?
Two things drive it: the car class and the week of the year.

The fleet is 105 cars, so ordinary weeks are comfortable.
Which weeks are genuinely tight?
- Late September, the Formula 1 weekend. The whole city fills.
- Novruz, 20 to 24 March. Five public holidays in a row.
- July and August. Gulf families arrive and take the larger cars.
- The Eid holidays, which move each year.
Outside those, walking into our Baku office and driving away is normal.
Do you have to pay in advance?
Usually not, and this is where Baku differs from the international desks.
For an economy car we normally take no prepayment at all.
For a luxury car we may ask for a booking deposit to hold it.
The rest is settled at handover, in cash or by card.
Can you cancel?
Yes, you can cancel. For a luxury car in Baku, cancel one day ahead and it is free.
For ordinary cars there is nothing to cancel if nothing was paid.
Tell us either way, because the car is being held for you.
A message costs you nothing and frees the car for someone else.
Is walking in cheaper?
Walking in is not cheaper with us. The rate in Baku is the same either way.
Some companies raise prices at the counter when they are busy.
What you lose by walking in is choice, not money.
On a quiet Tuesday that costs you nothing. In September it costs you a lot.
What do you need to send when booking?
- Dates and times, with the flight number if you are landing.
- How many people and how much luggage.
- Where you want the car, hotel or airport.
- Anything extra: child seat, satnav, second driver.
Our Baku office then confirms a specific car, not just a class.
Delivery to your hotel is 10 USD, to the airport 15 USD.
What if your plans change?
Extending in Baku is easy and usually keeps the same daily rate.
Call before the return time rather than after it.

What do we need to hold a car?
To hold a car we need your dates and the class you want.
- Deposit 200 to 300 USD, depending on the car. Cash or a card block.
- No mileage limit anywhere inside Azerbaijan.
- Minimum rental 2 days.
- Fuel comes back at the level you got it.
- ICBARI insurance is in the price. Full cover with a 300 to 500 EUR excess is optional.
- Delivery to your hotel for 10 USD, to the airport for 15 USD.
- Economy cars usually need no prepayment at all.
