Short answer. Car rental for a business trip to Baku comes down to three choices. Drive yourself, take a driver, or use transfers. For a day of meetings across the city, a driver usually wins. For a week, self drive is cheaper.

What does car rental for a business trip to Baku cost?

Compare the three options over the length of your stay, not per journey.

OptionBest forPrice shape
Self driveThree days or moreDaily rate, drops with length
Car with a driverA day of meetingsPriced on a 10-hour day
Airport transfer onlyOne night, one meetingFrom 25 USD (42.5 AZN), 40 in a minivan

Most business visitors take a transfer in and self drive after that.

Which car should you take?

The car depends who is in it on a Baku business trip.

  • Travelling alone: an economy or comfort saloon is enough.
  • Meeting clients: a business saloon, Camry class or above.
  • Hosting guests: an E-Class or S-Class with a driver.
  • A team of six: a minivan, not two cars.

The fleet is 105 cars, so the choice is real rather than theoretical.

Can you invoice the company?

Yes, we can invoice the company. Our Baku contract and invoice are issued in the company name.

Send the company details once and later bookings go faster.

Longer arrangements get a lower daily rate.

Our corporate page sets out how that works.

Where are the business districts?

The business districts are Port Baku, the White City and the streets around Nizami. Most offices sit in the centre or along the seafront.

Port Baku, the White City and the streets around Nizami are the usual addresses.

Parking in all of them is paid and runs through an app.

Our parking guide explains the zones and the cost.

How long does anything take in the city?

RouteOff peakRush hour
Airport to the centre30 minutes50 minutes
Across the centre15 minutes35 minutes
Centre to the White City15 minutes30 minutes

Baku rush hour runs roughly from eight to ten and five to seven.

Schedule meetings outside those windows if you have the choice.

Is a driver worth the money?

For four Baku meetings in one day, yes, and the reason is parking.

A driver drops you at the door and waits somewhere else.

You arrive on time and you arrive unflustered.

Ours are priced on a ten hour day. See the driver page.

What do you need to bring?

Bring your licence, your passport and a card for the 200 to 300 USD (340–510 AZN) deposit.

  1. Your national licence, the original card.
  2. Your passport with the visa or entry stamp.
  3. An international permit, if your country needs one.
  4. A card or cash for the deposit, 200 to 300 USD (340–510 AZN).

The country table is in our documents guide.

One last suggestion for a trip with a spare day at the end.

Gobustan is an hour away and Quba two and a half.

Our cars have no mileage limit, so that day costs you fuel and nothing else.

What do we set up for a work trip?

For a work trip we set up an invoice in the company name.

  • Deposit 200 to 300 USD (340–510 AZN), depending on the car. Cash or a card block.
  • No mileage limit anywhere inside Azerbaijan.
