In Azerbaijan AI-92 costs 1.10 AZN a litre and AI-95 costs 1.60 AZN.

Prices are set nationally, so every station charges the same.

A week of touring uses about 55 to 65 AZN in a small car.

Our fuel guide has the full table.

What does a real week look like?

Take a small automatic and three days out of Baku.

  • Car, seven days from 25 USD: 175 USD.
  • Fuel, about 1,000 km: near 65 AZN.
  • Parking, a few hours a day: 15 to 20 AZN.
  • Deposit, 200 USD, returned at the end.

Our week guide sets out a seven day plan.

How does the deposit work?

The Baku deposit is 200 to 300 USD, depending on the car.

Cash comes back on the spot when you return the car.

A card block is released by your bank, which can take up to a month.

Our deposit guide explains both routes.

Does a longer rental cost less?

Yes, and in Baku the drop is real rather than cosmetic.

A month costs far less per day than seven separate days.

The minimum rental is two days in every class.

Our monthly page shows the shape of it.

What can push the price up?

  • Busy weeks. Grand Prix and Novruz fill the whole city.
  • Premium cars. They may need a small prepayment to hold.
  • Full insurance. Optional, with a 300 to 500 EUR excess.
  • Fines. Camera fines can arrive after you fly home.

Our Baku booking guide lists the weeks to plan around.

One question comes up more than any other about the price.

People ask why the same class differs by 20 USD a day.

The answer is the year of the car, not a hidden charge.

A 2018 Cerato and a 2026 Corolla sit in the same class.
