When is the weather right?

May, June and September are the three easy months in Baku.

July and August are hot, and the sun is heavy by midday.

Winter rules the roof out for most days.

Our season guide lists what each month is like.

How windy is Baku, really?

Windy enough to be part of the city’s reputation.

The north wind arrives suddenly and can last two or three days.

Mornings are usually calmer than late afternoons.

Dust comes with the wind, so a cloth for the dashboard helps.

Which roads suit the roof down?

The seaside boulevard, the north coast and the Absheron loop suit the roof down.

Do people rent convertibles for weddings?

Often, and it is the most common reason in Baku.

Basic decoration is included in a wedding booking.

Changes to the decoration cost extra, agreed in advance.

A driver can be added, priced on a ten hour day.

Our wedding car guide explains what is included.

Is a convertible practical for a whole week?

For two people in Baku, yes. For luggage, less so.

The boot is small, and the roof mechanism takes part of it.

One large case and two cabin bags is a realistic limit.

Many guests take the convertible for two days and a saloon for the rest.

What should you know before you book?
